Tiny Wings, Mighty Impact: Celebrating World Bee Day

“Nature’s smallest workers often make the biggest difference.”

In celebration of World Bee Day, on 20th May 2026, Phase 3 students actively participated in an Art Integrated Notebook and Craft Activity. The initiative aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the vital role bees play in maintaining biodiversity and supporting environmental sustainability.

The session began with an engaging video that highlighted the significance of bees as pollinators and their contribution to global ecosystems. Guided by their Class Teachers and Eco Monitors, students created vibrant notebook entries centered on the theme “Bees: Tiny Creatures, Big Impact.” Their work included detailed illustrations of bees and flowers, informative facts, thoughtful reflections, and creative slogans promoting conservation.

Students also explored artistic expression through decorative honeycomb borders and optional extensions such as labelling bee anatomy, incorporating recycled materials, and composing short environmental messages. The reflection task encouraged critical thinking, as students expressed their perspectives on the consequences of bee extinction.

The activity concluded with a hands-on craft session, where each student designed a paper bee, later displayed as part of a classroom showcase. The initiative successfully combined creativity with awareness, nurturing a sense of responsibility towards protecting our natural world.
