Eco-Tourism 🌱 Tea Plantation Visit

🌱 Reflection by Muhammad Adeel : Tea Plantation Visit, Sri Lanka

“When I visited the tea plantation in Sri Lanka, I met some of the people who work there every day. They were very kind and showed me how they pick the tea leaves and take care of the plants. I helped them pick leaves. I learned that this work is not easy. The hills are steep, the weather is unstable, and they have to be very careful while picking the leaves.

Seeing this made me understand that how communities depend on Agriculture. The tea plantation gives many families a way to survive, buy food, send their children to school, and take care of their homes. I realized that when we care for the environment, we are also caring for the people who depend on it.

I also noticed how the workers protect the land by planting on the slopes in a special way so the soil doesn’t wash away. They use water carefully and try not to waste anything. I learned how they pass down their traditions and knowledge to younger generation. This showed me how the environment and the community are connected. If the land is healthy, the people can live well too.
