Paper Recycling in Class
Year Three pupils have been taking the lead in helping our school become even more environmentally friendly by trialing paper recycling in their classrooms. This exciting initiative has given children the opportunity to learn about responsible waste management while playing an active role in caring for their school environment.
Throughout the project, pupils have been learning how to use recycling bins correctly and how to sort paper carefully so it can be reused rather than thrown away. They have developed a clear understanding of which materials can be recycled and why it is important to reduce unnecessary waste. This practical, hands on experience has helped make learning meaningful and relevant to everyday life in the classroom.
The children have shown excellent responsibility and teamwork during the trial. They have supported one another, reminded their classmates about correct recycling choices and taken pride in ensuring that the system works effectively. Their positive attitudes and commitment have been key to the success of the project.
The paper recycling trial has been extremely successful, and we are delighted to announce that recycling will be introduced across the whole school on Green Day. This means that all pupils from FS1 through to Year Six will have the opportunity to take part in recycling and contribute to making our school a greener and cleaner place.
Well done to Year Three for leading the way and setting such a fantastic example. Their efforts have shown that simple actions, carried out consistently, can make a real difference in helping to protect our planet for the future.
