This Peace Day, Roots & Shoots students are inspiring change through acts of kindness and creative projects. We invite all member schools to share their Peace Day activities as Mission Updates on our website, so their efforts can be celebrated across our global network!

Each year, the International Day of Peace is a powerful reminder of the values Dr. Jane Goodall has championed throughout her life- compassion, understanding, and above all, hope. Jane often says that hope is what inspires action, and action is what brings about change. Peace Day can be defined in numerous ways, starting with nurturing peace within ourselves, in our communities, and in our relationship with the natural world. Let’s practice peace within every choice we make for ourselves, others, and our Planet as a whole.
