WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
On the 3rd of June, PIES celebrated World Environment Day 2022-23 under the theme “Only One Earth.” The celebration kicked off with the Principal, Mr. Suresh V. Balakrishnan, unveiling a banner for the UN Sustainable Development Goals curriculum link.
The Departments of Math, Science, English and Fine Arts put on a variety of programmes to highlight the strategies to achieve the UN SDGs through their curriculum.
Eco champions were sensitized in environmental sensitivity after participating in a drawing competition with the theme “Only One Earth,” a role play on energy conservation, and a healthy platter presentation. It motivated young environmentalists to increase their efforts to protect Earth, the world’s most unique planet, in the most effective way possible.
