Students from KS3 at Belvedere International School participated in an inter-school competition with Al Awael Private School, combining Mathematics and Sustainability. The competition challenged students to design innovative projects focused on sustainable solutions while applying mathematical concepts such as measurement, budgeting, data analysis and cost efficiency.
Students presented and justified their designs, explaining how their projects reduced waste, conserved resources, or promoted environmental responsibility. This experience strengthened their critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills, while deepening their understanding of how mathematics can be applied to real-world sustainability challenges.
