Small Voice, Big Difference School Workshop, in partnership with the Sharjah Education Council and Bee’ah was conducted at Delhi Private School, Sharjah. Lacnor Healthy Eating and Oasis Environment Care Workshop was a unique campaign that helped educate students from KG1 – Grade 2.
Healthy Eating Workshop was conducted by Ms. Mariam from Dubai Municipality who is a Nutritionist and Health Expert. The students were taught on how to create healthy lunchboxes, food groups and proper hand washing. Oasis Environment Care Workshop was conducted by the Environmental Expert Mr Steve. The students learnt about Reduce, Re-use, Recycle and were taught how to take gentle care of plants and introduced them to planting at our very own DPS garden. All students were encouraged to start a garden project at home too.
At DPS, we believe that having fun while learning helps students retain information better because the process is enjoyable and memorable. The Mascot, Dooby entertained the students and interacted with them. The interactive workshop encouraged and motivated the students to raise their voices for climate change and make a big difference.
