REPORT ON PAPAYA HARVEST

Our young members of Bhavan’s Natura, Eco Club of PIES, were so enthusiastic that they were even ready to skip their meals to go on a papaya harvesting under the guidance of the coordinator Mrs. Ushakumari. The young ‘farmers’ researched on the benefits of papaya before they embarked on the harvest. This refreshing experience taught the students to care for nature and respect the hardships of farmers while farming. They sold the papayas to the teachers and got themselves rewarded with complimentary papayas. The whole process helped them to achieve the competencies of team work and entrepreneurship.
