Installation of Aquaponics System at The Indian Academy

The Indian Academy, Dubai, has successfully implemented aquaponics systems across all Grade 5 to 8 classrooms, seamlessly integrating fish farming with plant cultivation. Under the expert guidance of Mr. Sreenivas, students actively participated in setting up the systems, gaining firsthand knowledge of how fish waste acts as a natural fertilizer for plants while the plants, in turn, purify the water for the fish.

This innovative, hands-on project provided students with practical insights into sustainability, water conservation, and ecosystem management. The aquaponics systems not only enhance environmental awareness but also serve as a dynamic educational tool for future science lessons, promoting a deeper understanding of ecological balance and responsible resource use.

The Indian Academy continues to lead by example in fostering sustainable practices and empowering students with essential life skills for a greener future.
