.On Wednesday. the 8th of October 2025, our school organized a commemorative special assembly to honour the life and leagacy of Dr.Jane Goodall. Our school has proudly been a member of Roots and Shoots UAE for a decade , ever since its inception. Over the years, both our students and teachers have gained priceless experiences from this association. Most importantly, we are forever grateful for the incredible opportunities we got to see and know Jane in person, learning lessons that will continue to inspire our entire school community for life.
During this special Assembly, we shared Jane's story to the audience, featuring the famous and touching video of Jane releasing the chimpanzee into the wild, followed by a short clip of her hearfelt final message to the world. Two speeches were delivered - one by a teacher and another by a student. expressing their admiration and personal reflections on their moments with Jane. To mark the solemn occasion, teachers wore white as a sign of condolence and respect.
The Assembly concluded with a minute of silence, followed by the entire school joining the principal, vice principal and the Roots & Shoots team in reciting Jane Goodall's famous plege, "Together we can, together we will, together we must". It was a poignant yet uplifting ceremony that united us in remembrance of Dr. Jane Goodall and reaffirmed our commitment to continue her legacy - to protect nature and all its inhabitants, espcecially those who do not have a voice of their own.
