At ASCS NAS, we integrate our love for nature and the environment across all subjects. Our activities and curricula are intentionally designed to embed values that build character, nurture responsible citizenship, and promote environmental stewardship.
For example, in Math, our teachers design word problems based on real environmental events. This approach not only develops mathematical thinking but also raises awareness and appreciation for the UAE’s conservation efforts, wildlife, and natural heritage.
One such example:
“Leo and Mirah were lucky to witness a beautiful sea turtle hatchling release on the shores of Abu Dhabi. Leo counted 34 baby turtles crawling toward the sea, while Mirah saw 22. How many more baby turtles did Leo see than Mirah?”
Beyond building numeracy skills, stories like this instill a love for the environment and, most importantly, empower our students of determination, who are proudly placed at the heart of these learning narratives as the heroes of the story.
This is how we bring learning to life—meaningful, inclusive, and rooted in values that shape future stewards of our planet. 🌿🐢
