SCS PINK DAY
Every October in Safa Community School, we celebrate Pink Day. To mark this very special month, our school community takes part in many charitable projects. This year, two of our teachers Mr Hubble and Mr Waddy cycled a distance of 200km to raise money for Breast Cancer awareness. In addition to this, students from our primary and secondary music departments performed around our school – outside and inside- busking for charity! The wonderful efforts and generosity of our school community raised 29,469 AED towards the Breast Cancer Awareness Appeal.
To raise awareness and spread a message of hope and philanthropy, our school is transformed into a pink wonderland covered with messages of love, kindness and support. This important message of empathy and being kind to others around the world is at the core everything we do in SCS. We also hold competitions between staff and children for the best pink costume on our dress up day to raise awareness amongst our school and local community!
