World Earth Day

The students of Al Saad Indian School enthusiastically participated in various activities to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth. On the occasion of the Earth Day, an array of creative activities was organized with a view to sensitize the

children about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful. The school believes that the activities scheduled will help them to get acquainted with the skills of research, observation, collaboration, and creativity. It will be an exploration of themselves and of things around them.

Start a Seed Jar activity witnessed an active participation from the student community wherein students of grades 1 and 2 under the guidance of their teachers prepared seed jars. Children were asked to observe and understand the progress for the next seven days and were asked to record their observations from day one to day seven. ‘Create an Earth Memory’ witnessed students preparing creative crafts using materials like shells, sticks, rocks, leaves, flowers, petals, nuts etc. ‘Earth Day Puppet Making’, was yet another activity in which, students made puppets made out of waste materials and Poster Making organized for the other categories gave a platform to showcase their artistic and creative skills. The classrooms reverberated with the thoughtful slogans raised by the students.

The events of the day rekindled emotive concerns and instigated the youngsters to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.
