*COP 28 Delegation Visit*

Students from Sunrise English Private School represented the school and their anti-desertification initiative “Pathfinders” at The UN’s COP 28 held from Nov 30 to Dec 12.

The team from “Pathfinders” consisting of Christy Jose, Jase Thomas Jacob and Jewel Baiju made up the delegation.
The team had an enlightening and productive experience. Their visit to the Green Zone provided an invaluable opportunity for learning and networking. Engaging with diverse stakeholders and experts, the team immersed themselves in discussions centred on the UAE’s sustainable future and global sustainability efforts. Through interactive sessions and exhibitions like the Youth Hub and Pop-Cop, they gained comprehensive insights into innovative approaches, policies, and technologies aimed at addressing climate change and fostering environmental sustainability. COP28 served as a platform where the students were able to expand their understanding of the pressing challenges of desertification and explored collaborative strategies to mitigate its impacts, ensuring a memorable and informative experience for the team.
