2025 - World Earth Day

This week, Mayoor Private School came alive with the spirit of Earth Day as students across all grades engaged in a range of thoughtful and creative activities reflecting this year’s global theme: “Our Power, Our Planet”. From our littlest learners in Pre-KG and Kindergarten, who explored

simple, eco-friendly habits through art and storytelling, to our Primary students (Grades 1–5), who led family-driven sustainability efforts like “No Gadgets Day” and candlelight dinners, the message was clear: every action counts.

The Science Club further brought students together through a hands-on project designing self-wicking plant systems—an innovative take on sustainable gardening.

In the Middle and Senior School, students inspired their peers through powerful assemblies. Grade 9B1 girls highlighted global citizenship and individual responsibility, while the Grade 12 A2 boys delivered a satirical yet striking performance reminding us that real heroes for the planet are ordinary people making conscious choices. This week wasn’t just a celebration—it was a call to action. Through inspiring words, creative performances, and thoughtful reflections, we’ve seen how each of us can be a part of the solution. As global citizens, let’s carry this spirit beyond the stage — into our classrooms, our homes, and our everyday choices. Because Earth Day isn’t just one day — it’s every day.
