To create awareness about food security and the importance of consuming locally grown food, we organized a food processing workshop. During the on season, there was surplus food from the farms while in the on season we had to depend to supermarket food. To preserve the excess food and extend its longevity, we conducted a workshop on pickling and discussed about sauce making, jam making, jelly making and various other food processing methods. We urged our students to be future entrepreneurs in food processing industry to support the country’s mission in attaining food security.
