Seedlings with a view

Not all seedlings come into this world with a view over Burj Khalifa, but this season’s tomatoes for the Clarion community garden did.

The warm, bright light of Ms. Aisha’s windowsill provided the perfect first home for our baby cherry, black beefsteak and yoom tomatoes.

Planted in a variety of recycled containers, the seedlings happily grew indoors before being gradually introduced to the outdoors on their way to our planter beds in the garden.

With TLC and the right conditions, we should be enjoying a new range of tomatoes in our garden this year.
