Marine Life – SDG Life Under water

Students of Grade 4 had a very interactive and inspirational session by the Education Manager of Yas Sea World Research and Rescue and Sea World, Abu Dhabi Ms. Anupama. The environmental conservationist delivered a talk on the diversity and importance of marine life, the role of oceans in the global ecosystem, current threats to marine life, including pollution, overfishing, and climate change and the importance of marine conservation and sustainable practices. It is to educate, engage, and inspire students to take an active role in marine conservation. Students were able to understand the importance of marine life, identify key species and ecosystems within the marine environment and the need to protect UAE’s rich and diverse marine ecosystems which are the country’s natural heritage, in the face of environmental challenges and reflect on the targets of SDG 14 – Life Below Water.
