Millet Exhibition at QAS

The UN has declared 2023 as the year of millets to bring back millets to our dining tables. Millets are rich in antioxidants and fibers and are low in glycemic index thus making it a gluten free balanced food. To create awareness about food security, we at QAS arranged a Millet exhibition where we displayed nutritional qualities of various millets and some fun facts about them. To involve students, we created a thoughts corner to know their thoughts and reflections.

Finger Millets, Proso millets, Kodo millets, Little Millets and Foxtail millets were displayed. Hand lenses were provided for those keen observers for a detailed study of those grains. We hope the world will soon bring back the good old millets on to their dining tables
