Growing sunflowers – by Isaac

In Clarion Diggers we decided to have a sunflower competition to see which one would grow the tallest.

In October we all planted a sunflower seed in a small pot. We wrote our names on our pot.

We watered the plant. Unfortunately, some of them died over the Winter holidays because they weren’t watered.

I took mine home and found a good place for it.

Mine is the tallest sunflower. It is 59cm or 23 inches tall. It bloomed on my grandmother’s birthday on 27th January.
