Green Our Campus Initiative has transformed our school from a barren desert to a thriving green belt with over 300 plants. This remarkable achievement, driven by continuous maintenance and stakeholder support, features vertical gardens throughout the campus. Grade 11 Biology students planted periwinkle plants on the school campus, gaining hands-on experience in planting and caring for vegetation. They were enthusiastic about the activity, which provided a practical connection to their studies. Periwinkle was chosen for its ability to thrive in the UAE’s well-lit environment and sandy soil. This activity served as an extension of the Grade 11 photosynthesis chapter. As the plants grow, students will utilize them to study pollination and pollen germination. This activity inspired students to plant more trees and plants in their surroundings and encouraged them to care for them
