“Even the smallest actions are the steps taken in the right direction.”

The morning of 5th June,2022, saw a group of young dipsites taking the initiative to revive the locality of Al Nahda, Sharjah by cleaning up a vast area of the residential street on World Environment Day 2022, and as a contribution towards the World River Run campaign by Ms. Mina Guli and Thirst Foundation as well as Sadhguruji’s Save Soil Campaign.

The two Manikandan sisters, Sashini, and Kanshika, led the initiative and addressed the gathering of young sustainable heroes. The students were joined by parents and the event served as a reminder, on why we shouldn’t pollute our beloved Earth.

The highlight of the event was when common passers-by joined the cleanup and helped the young students to achieve their mission. Many saw the cleanup of the locality from their balconies and pitched in. This has inspired the students to organize more cleanups across the seven emirates. The event ended on a happy note with a sense of accomplishment and a bright smile on everyone’s face.
