Recap: Our first Bahri Marine Roots Session!🌊

We covered:

🌱 Introduction to UAE Mangroves

Learned about the unique “Ibn Sina” mangroves and their vital role in supporting biodiversity and combating climate change.
Explored their intricate root systems and how they filter saltwater to sustain life.

🐢 Biodiversity Discovery

Observed key species living in and around the mangroves, including crabs, fish, and birds like herons and flamingos.
Discussed how these species contribute to the delicate balance of the mangrove ecosystem.

📆 Hands-On Data Collection

Students worked in groups to collect data using specially designed worksheets.
Recorded observations on mangrove roots, fish, birds, and crabs, contributing to a deeper understanding of local biodiversity.
