We covered:
🌱 Introduction to UAE Mangroves
- Learned about the unique "Ibn Sina" mangroves and their vital role in supporting biodiversity and combating climate change.
- Explored their intricate root systems and how they filter saltwater to sustain life.
🐢 Biodiversity Discovery
- Observed key species living in and around the mangroves, including crabs, fish, and birds like herons and flamingos.
- Discussed how these species contribute to the delicate balance of the mangrove ecosystem.
📆 Hands-On Data Collection
- Students worked in groups to collect data using specially designed worksheets.
- Recorded observations on mangrove roots, fish, birds, and crabs, contributing to a deeper understanding of local biodiversity.
