To mark World Food Day 2016, St. Joseph’s School had organized a food donation campaign in the school campus. We are delighted to announce that the campaign was a huge hit with the immense support received from students, teachers and parents.
The initiative was taken by our school eco club VERTE to encourage all students and teachers to collect healthy food items. 40 boxes of non- perishable food consisting of rice, flour, pulses, sugar, tea, coffee powder, milk powder etc. were collected.
The collected 40 food boxes were donated to the West Coast Women’s Labor Camp, Mussafah on 25th October, 2016. Our students felt very happy and motivated after meeting women labors from different countries and listening to their day today lives.
Our school believes in sharing of skills, ideas and resources and tries to inculcate the same to its students. It is rightly said that we have two hands, one to help our self, the second to help others.
