Peace Day celebrations at Delhi Private School Sharjah

September 21 has been declared the International Day of Peace by the United Nations General Assembly to augment the ideals of peace and collective harmony.

This year, as the world is healing from the scars of the pandemic, this day holds a special significance. The world has witnessed the power of indomitable resilience over the past one year. Hence, the theme of this year’s International Day of Peace has been declared as “Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world”.

DPS Sharjah observed the International Day of Peace to accentuate the significance of peace and integration in a world grappling with the repercussions of the one-year global limbo. Clad in serene white, the Principal and Director, Ms. Vandana Marwaha, along with Vice-Principals, HMs, supervisors, and teachers planted saplings to pay homage to world peace as the innate beauty of the world can be embellished only by the glittering baubles of peace.
