WORLD EARTH DAY
It was a week of warmth and welcome, as students returned to face-to-face classes greeted with smiles and well wishes. Kindergarten students also celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April 2026 with great enthusiasm under the theme “Our Power, Our Planet.
” They joyfully engaged in hands-on planting activities, exploring nature through meaningful experiences. As they planted saplings, they developed fine motor skills, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of the environment. The classrooms were filled with excitement and pride, as their smiles reflected a growing love for and responsibility toward the Earth
Earth Day Initiative – Green Together: A Family Earth Mission”As part of the Earth
Day celebrations on 22nd April, the Secondary Department conducted meaningful
initiatives aligned with this year’s theme, Our Power, Our Planet.
Students, alongside their parents, participated in “One Green Act at Home, promoting
sustainability as a shared responsibility. The initiative strengthened parental engagement and encouraged eco-friendly habits such as reducing plastic use and conserving resources. Students reflected on their experiences with confidence, demonstrating awareness and responsibility. The “No Plastic Lunch” initiative further reinforced sustainable practices in daily life.
Reflection:
The Earth Day celebration was a fun and meaningful experience for the students. Through activities like colouring headgear, the planting activity, and “best out of waste” projects, they learned about caring for the environment in an engaging way. Students showed enthusiasm and creativity while working together, and they developed a better understanding of the importance of protecting our planet. Overall, the activities not only fostered awareness, responsibility, and teamwork but also inspired students to adopt more sustainable habits in their daily lives.
