Understanding Food Chain through Fun and Frolic!!!

In the Roots & Shoots activity last week , we discussed about important links in the food chain. We enjoyed learning the role of producers, consumers and scavengers. Excerpts from Dr, Jane’s “Book Of Hope” were also a part of the discussion. For eg: The case study from Yellowstone National Park was exciting and an eye opener for our students. Before wrapping up, we played a game called “Guess Who” in which an animal’s picture was stuck on a student’s back. The student can ask ten questions to the rest of the team to find out the animal’s name. The team can answer only by a “yes” or a “No”. At the end of the questionnaire, the student had to guess the name of the animal. The ten questions helped us learn a lot about each animal and we had a very active learning session through lots of fun and frolic!!!
