As part of the Service Learning Fridays initiative, BPWS conducted a tutoring programme to support young learners in Grades 1-4 on 13 March 2025. Selected students from Grades 6-8 took on the role of mentors, guiding their younger peers in English, Mathematics, and Science. With dedication and enthusiasm, these tutors carefully prepared engaging lessons, using worksheets and teaching aids to break down complex concepts into simpler ideas. The interactive sessions not only made learning more enjoyable for the younger students but also helped the tutors develop leadership and communication skills. The programme was a resounding success, fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning in both groups. Its impact goes beyond academics, nurturing a culture of collaboration and empathy that will inspire future initiatives.
