Turtle Patrol

HENA’s Global Citizens volunteered last spring to help patrol the Saadiyat Beach area for turtle nests. They received training on identifying and protecting turtle nests from Arabella Willing, the Park Hyatt’s Marine Biologist. Then they showed up at sunrise weekly for two months to walk the beach searching for telltale signs of turtle nesting.
