Sustainability Day

Sustainability Day

This event aimed to reflect on our school’s journey toward sustainability and inspire collective action for a greener future. Students participated in various activities, including decluttering classrooms, keeping plants, selecting Sustainability Champions, and creating SDG posters. We promoted waste segregation, established a Zero Plastic campus, and set up Sustainability Zones in classrooms for sharing ideas and projects. By leading by example and engaging in these initiatives, we hoped to foster a culture of environmental awareness and responsibility among all students. Together, we took concrete steps to protect our planet!

To mark the importance of the Year of Sustainability our nursery students celebrated “Sustainability Day” on 24th October, 2024. Students engaged in a creative and meaningful activity by painting a cardboard box, which they then filled with soil to sow vegetable seeds as a seed starter. This hands-on experience not only allowed them to express their artistic talents but also introduced them to the basics of gardening and plant growth. As the seeds sprouted, the excitement of nurturing their plants fostered a sense of responsibility and connection to nature. On Sustainability Day, they proudly handed over their vibrant seed starters for the school garden.
