This year, students from K-12 collaborated on various initiatives designed to support disadvantaged and low-income individuals in our community. These initiatives reflect the compassion and commitment of our students to make a positive difference in the lives of those around them during Ramadan. Together, we can continue to support our community and foster a spirit of giving.
These are some of our student-led initiatives:
Clothing Drive
- Our clothing drive successfully collected and distributed gently used clothing to our contracted workers. This initiative not only provided essential garments but also promoted sustainability by preventing these items from ending up in landfills.
Essential Toiletries Distribution
- We recognized the importance of good hygiene, so we distributed essential toiletries to families in need. This effort aimed to ensure that everyone has access to basic hygiene products.
Eid Gifts for Children
- Inspired by the spirit of Ramadan, our students generously donated Eid gifts to children from disadvantaged families, spreading joy and fostering a sense of community.
Fridge Project
- Another impactful initiative was the Fridge Project, where community members contributed food and snacks to be stored in a communal fridge. This provided our cleaners with accessible meals and snacks on their way home, ensuring they are nourished after a long day of work.
