Aligned with the theme of “Actions for Peace: our ambitions for the global goals,” Al Ittihad National Private School partnered with Roots & Shoots to celebrate International Peace Day, observed annually on 21 September.
Dr. Jane, a UN Messenger of Peace since 2002, has been actively involved in these annual celebrations.
Given the resonance of this event with both the national identity theme and the school’s vision, students conducted research into the UAE’s role on the Day of Peace and its contributions toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The display beautifully showcases their work, with younger students adding a touch of simplicity by inscribing heartfelt messages on white doves, the enduring symbol of Peace.
