Our Plant Conservatory

The plant conservatory is an experimental project aimed to create optimum climatic conditions to grow plants in harsh environmental conditions using technology that enables minimum energy consumption. This optimum climate is artificially created or simulated . The plant conservatory is kept cool by hybrid AC , which works with energy supplied by solar panels . Water for watering the plants is produced by a water maker which produces water out of moisture . Artificial sunlight is supplied by red and blue led lights because direct sunlight does not reach the conservatory.

Students are thereby motivated to bring up new and innovative solutions to improve the output of the project and solve any problem that might arise from time to time . Students working on this project are exposed to experiential learning and feel inspired to take up research studies in the field of sustainability .
