Recycling week
19th September to 23rd September 2022
“CREATIVITY IS MAKING MARVELOUS OUT OF THE DISCARDED”.
As the Kindergarten department of Mayoor Private school celebrated “ International Recycle Week” on 21st & 22nd September 2022, a parental involvement activity was organised incorporating the theme of “Seven continents”. The parents of KG1 and KG2 along with the child got an opportunity to work collaboratively to make models representing the theme- seven continents like matryoshka dolls, African musical instruments etc using recycled items such as cardboards, plastic bottles, newspapers, magazines, empty boxes etc. It was a great delight to see the little mayoorites applying their critical thinking and innovating the models using their creative skills. It was wonderful to see them interacting and speaking about their models confidently with the judges. Special thanks to parents who made this event a grand success.
FASHION AVENGERS
Adding to this, the Kindergarten students participated in an inter-school Fancy Dress Competition with the theme – FASHION AVENGERS. Mayoor had both solo and group category participants. Parents and teachers took great initiative to get the costume ready for the participants using the waste material. The students were well trained to walk the ramp, showcase their costume and speak a few lines about the costume.
