Once a month, HENA and Al Mahara Diving Center holds a Wilderness Discovery Program in which kids learn wilderness survival skills and wildlife conservation.
This month the program focused on learning to Be a Hero: a Rescue Hero (buliding a raft from repurposed materials), a First Aid Hero (learning some first aid basics) and a Trash Hero (cleaning up the trash in our natural environments that threatens wildlife).
The kids collected all the trash they could find in Abu Dhabi’s Eastern Mangroves and had quite a collection when they were done!
