Grow Along X Regent International School

During our Environment and Sustainability Parent Networking Session, Lina (a member of our parent community) volunteered to launch a 'Grow Along' which will take place throughout the cooler months in the U.A.E..

Together, our community will grow plants at home. They can grow anything (for example, leafy greens, tomatoes, herbs or flowers!) and can plant seeds, use seedlings from a garden centre or plants and produce they are already growing! They will grow in their gardens, on their balconies or even on their windowsills. For support, we created a ‘growing tips and tricks’ sheet for tomato seedlings to help them get started.

Throughout the Grow Along, our community will send pictures in of the plants they are growing. At school, we will hold a "Progress Showcase" on International Day which takes place in February. This will involve bringing the plants into school to show off all of their hard work and care! At our annual RISpreneur event, taking place in April, we will host a "Final Produce Showcase" where the plants will be judged in different categories.
