Over the past six months, students have collaborated with Global EEE volunteers, the 3elm organization, and staff at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi to build an electric vehicle (EV) with a strong emphasis on sustainability. This exciting project aimed to inspire students to pursue careers in STEAM fields while promoting education, renewable energy, and caring for our environment. At the conclusion, ACS competed with other schools in the region and the world to race their car in a grand prix, hence the name Electrical Vehicle Grand Prix(EVGP).
Through this initiative, students gained a deeper understanding of renewable energy technologies and developed important skills in leadership, teamwork, and project management. The completed EV has sparked interest among their peers, supporting ACS's long-term goal of enhancing STEAM education through eco-friendly practices.
Students explored various fields such as design, engineering, AI, and essential subjects like math and physics while fostering a sense of responsibility for our planet. Overall, the EVGP project has transformed their educational experience, extending beyond the classroom into meaningful, hands-on learning that supports a greener future.
