Encouraging Play for Child Wellbeing at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital Through a Student-Led Toy Drive

Al Jalila Children’s Hospital has been providing specialized care to children in the UAE since 2016, the first hospital of its kind in the country. Our students, led by the high school service club ‘Helping Hands’, were driven to support the emotional wellbeing of children undergoing care there. Through the toy drive they organized and advertised across the Elementary, Middle, and High School, Helping Hands was able to collect a variety of new toys to provide entertainment and encourage play in children of all ages receiving treatment at Al Jalila, while also increasing awareness of those needs within our own school community.
