The campus at QAS is buzzing with preparations for Qatar Sustainability Week which runs from September 28- Oct 3. Considering the amount of E waste that goes into our bins everyday, we came up with an E waste drive to create awareness in our students about excessive consumption, carbon footprint and effective ways to improve life on our planet. This initiative will create a wider impact by involving parents and other stakeholders by advertising in our newsletter, assembly and homeroom announcements and presenting during the advisory session on Tuesdays. We have designated bins in our campus to collect the E waste. The waste will then be taken to the green island in the education city, here in Qatar , for recycling.
The students will have a set of awareness programs at the green island. The student who brought the highest quantity of E waste will receive the eco warrior award.
