On 5th November 2023, the students of Al Saad Indian School led by Abhiram Krishna conducted a desert clean up drive in the Nabagh Desert of Al Ain. In this drive, ASIS collaborated with WE Hope, a youth organization, and cleaned up trash for around 3 hours.
After the tedious cleanup, 15 students from ASIS were able to collect around 20 kg of trash. The trash included both general waste and plastic. The general waste was given to Tadweer officials and the plastic was deposited in ASIS for the purpose of recyling and re-utilization.
The plastic deposited in ASIS was soon reused for the purpose of making a vertical garden in school.
