AL SIDR ENVIRONMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL – HONEY, RAIN AND DUST

AL SIDR ENVIRONMENTAL FILM FESTIVALHONEY, RAIN AND DUST

On March 14th, 2022, between 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at PIES, a virtual film screening in honour of the Al Sidr Environmental Film Festival was held for grades 1 to 4. The film screening is organized by Zayed University students in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency and the Sustainable School Initiative (SSI).

Bhavans Natura, the school’s Eco Club was thrilled to provide a new, virtual screening experience for our children to learn more about the environmental concerns that we face today, since they are involved in all of the Sustainable School Initiatives.

The film screening engaged the primary students of the school. A movie called “Honey, Rain, and Dust” was screened, which portrays the consequences of climate change on wild honey bees. A fruitful interactive session took place after the power point presentation and the film screening. The children actively participated in the session, sharing their views and opinions, and some even made up their minds to become environmental scientists!
