Last year Clarion saved 746kg of food waste from landfill, exceeding our goal of 600kg. More than doubling our tally of 316kg from the previous year, we demonstrated how the refinement of our processes can increase the impact of our whole-school composting program.
Thank you to the teachers who willingly kept buckets with their classes, the children who managed them and used the bokashi in the garden, and the families who brought in food waste. Thank you to the parents who provided and drilled buckets and managed the program, and to the facilities staff who helped along the way.
A special thank you to 3C who managed the bokashi meter and supported composting at school with such enthusiasm and diligence. Composting at Clarion is amazing!
