Al Saad Indian School (ASIS) took part in the ‘Pile it Up Challenge’ conducted by the Environmental Agency Abu Dhabi in the month of May. This challenge aimed at the collection of plastic bottles in Abu Dhabi schools for the purpose of recycling.
During the challenge, the students of ASIS collected a large number of single use plastic bottles. The determination shown by the students bore fruitful result as they were able to collect more than 1000kg of plastic.
Due to the large amount of plastic collected, ASIS was awarded the 2nd Prize in the Medium School Category and won a prize of AED 5000. This money will be used for the purpose of implementing water saving systems in the school soon.
