During the month of December, we led a community donation drive in partnership with Thrift for Good.
This project was important for us because all funds raised from the sales at ‘Thrift for Good’ are donated to ‘Dubai Cares’, a local charitable organisation that supports children around the world.
By supporting and encouraging our community to shed and donate clothing, shoes, books, toys and other items (in good condition) that they are not using anymore, we are able to recycle and reuse these items and in this case, also support a charity.
As a family, we truly aim to reduce our consumption, especially in the retail and textile/garment space, as this industry is over saturated and causes tremendous negative impact on the environment due to its use of water, carbon emissions, pollution and waste. By supporting second hand usage of garments, especially for growing children, we are able to support a mind shift in how we are able to make a difference for the planet.
