On Thursday May 21, Roots & Shoots in collaboration with the grade five PEARLS group hosted the first Charity Fair and “Junkie to Funkie” Trashion Show. This event highlighted the fashion creations of grade 3-5 students who designed their own pieces and then paraded them on the “catwalk”. The other highlight was the games organized by each of the charities featured: Roots & Shoots, Crohn’s Foundation, World Wildlife Fund and Heifer International. The PEARLS group had researched these organizations as part of their effort to help against environmental degradation, people with serious medical conditions and children in need of education. Great FUN!
